Description

Circa 1780. Poised amid rolling hunt country in the shadow of Walden Mountain in Sperryville, Virginia, this inn is the first and oldest in Rappahannock County. Three levels of guided horseback riding on privately owned trails are offered. Gather for afternoon refreshments in the relaxed setting accented by Oriental rugs, antiques, heirlooms, oil paintings, French doors, a vintage French tapestry and an 1860 grand piano. Delightful accommodations boast a wood-burning fireplace in the Main House, Hill House and Spring House. Stay in a guest room with a refrigerator stocked with complimentary drinks, clawfoot tub or double Jacuzzi, and covered porch or open deck overlooking gorgeous gardens or the mountains. Start each day with a delicious breakfast and schedule an in-room massage. Elegant six-course dinners with full service bar and a small wine list are available by advance reservation.

The Perfect Weekend

I stayed there In January for the Oyster & Wine pairing event. It was one of the most special weekends I have ever had. Ms. Sandra was the perfect hostess on the perfect weekend. I am a down to earth Virginia mountain boy, and, I felt right at home here. Not only do I recommend it for anyone, I will be spending a weekend there in the future. Jeff

Getaway weekend

Terry and I had such a relaxing time at the INN. Sandra is lovely and makes you feel so at home. The surroundigs took you back in time, which is what we all need. Alex kept us company, while we had great breakfasts in front of the fire with Sandra. Cant wait to go back
