Experience Southern hospitality at this Colonial Revival home located in the middle of the historic district. The elegance of the Victorian period is reflected in the decor and antique furnishings. Oriental carpets and opulent window treatments enhance the ambiance. The parlor has an added French influence and displays extensive collections including bronzes, porcelains, vintage puppets from Thailand. Books, magazines and games are available for guest use. Honeymoon suites feature a canopy bed, candles, Jacuzzi tub and fireplace. French toast made out of homemade sourdough brown sugar-cinnamon pecan bread rounds off a bountiful breakfast served in the formal dining room or enjoyed on the rear screen porch.

Rothschild-Pound House B&B

The Rothschild-Pound House, an impressive Second Empire Victorian, is steeped in Columbus history and was once home to several prominent local residents. The home nearly was destroyed, but preservationists saved the historic gem and moved it to the town's historic district. Guests will enjoy a host of modern amenities, such as in-room mini refrigerators and coffee makers. Suites include a private kitchen. However, the innkeepers have maintained the Victorian romance, filling the home with beautiful antiques and a romantic decor with four-poster beds, silk bedspreads and fresh flowers. Several rooms include antique tubs. Breakfast is often Southern in style, with items such as fried apples or biscuits and gravy.
