Secret bedroom for the extra guest travelling with you.I would like to write a comment on Clair's B&B in Ladner, British Columbia, Canada. I have been going back there for about 5 years now and just love it!! It is a beautiful historical home with 6 "theme" suites, all with private bathrooms, flat screen T.V.'s and internet access. When you walk through the front door you are met with a parlor on the left and living room on the right that are filled with wonderful antiques. The dining room is huge with a long wooden table surrounded with plush chairs where Clair serves up her breakfasts that are worthy of a master chef. The place literally exudes warmth and coziness. It is within walking distance to the ocean and Ladner's funky downtown shops. The neighborhood is lovely with lots of old homes whose owner's are obviously proud to maintain and surround them with some pretty incredible landscaping. Clair was born to run a B&B. When she greets you at the door [often with a glass of wine, depending on the time of day] you are met with a warm, friendly smile and are immediately made to feel at home. She is a wealth of information on the Ladner area and will answer any questions you may have about where to go and what to see. Over the years I have seen many changes in Clair's B&B. She is constantly upgrading and renovating to make sure her guests are comfortable and are surrounded by a visually beautiful atmosphere. Ladner is about a 20 minute drive from the airport and right next door to Tsawwassen, where you can catch the ferry to Vancouver Island. Clair's B&B has a 4 and a half star rating yet she is still able to offer very reasonable rates. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
