Christmas House Inn

Christmas House Inn

Circa 1889. Peace and goodwill abound at this delightful romantic Victorian lodge surrounded by the San Juan Range of the Rocky Mountains. The tiny town, population 700, is nine blocks long and six blocks wide. It sits at the northern end of the portion of Highway 550 known as "The Million Dollar Highway" because of its spectacular views. The inn has five deluxe suites, each with a double whirlpool tub and awesome views. Four have fireplaces and private entrances. Guests can enjoy the Dickensesque English Ivy suite with its antique Victorian bed and breathtaking mountain view. Or they may choose the Mistletoe (perfect for honeymooners and other lovers) with its fireplace and pink half canopy bed. Breakfast is a celebration of menus with names like "Joy To the World," "Up on the Housetop" and "Feliz Navidad." Happy, hungry guests will enjoy entrees like maple/rosemary grilled ham, crepes, waffles, omelets and juices.
