Circa 1861. The Chollar Mansion, built with Victorian craftsmanship in1861, is listed in the National Register and is the perfect place to be immersed in the gold and silver mining mystique as well as the history of Virginia City, Nevada. The mansion boasts a 164 square foot underground bullion vault. Relax in the authentic men's parlor with a railroad and mining library. The paymaster's booth is where the miners got paid weekly. Accommodations at this bed and breakfast feature spacious guest suites furnished in period Eastlake antiques and an adjacent cottage decorated in 1930s Art Deco furnishings. Wake up to the gorgeous easterly sunrise views of Six Mile Canyon and the surrounding Sierra Nevada Mountain range. A hearty breakfast is served in the formal dining room.
