Bed Bugs in Chimney Hill Estate Inn

I am sending you this email as I stayed at Chimney Hill Estate & Ol'Barn Inn, 08530 from Sept 01 till Sept 03 2013 (2 nights stay) in there Barn Suite number 4. Yesterday morning when I woke up I had numerous number of bites on my body (please see pics attached). I did internet search very same moment when I saw those and based upon peoples reviews it looked like bed bug bites, I read online further in order to check how to find out if bed bugs are present on the property. so i started looking under the blanket, mattress, pillows etc and i was terrified to see bed bugs on the box spring, blood stains on the blanket and bed sheet, the mattress was also covered under bed bug mattress protector (which clearly indicates that they had bed bugs infestation. > I informed about the incidence to the lady at the front desk (Deb), she clearly looked that she knew about the issue, she said she will credit me my money back and will get the owners to call me or contact me via email ( i haven't heard anything back from them till now). Today when I emailed them back that I haven't heard from the owner yet, she emailed me back and totally took a U-turn, now she is saying that I didn't even get the bites and she can only give me $250 credit on my next stay. this is totally not acceptable, I am not going to leave this matter right here, its not a matter of around $430 which I spent, its about being right and wrong and providing poor customer service and lying about the refund.

Possible Bed Bugs

We decided to stay at the Chimney Hill Inn 2 weeks ago. It was a very nice hotel on a nice farm. We stayed one night. The next day after we got home, my wife noticed all these bite marks all over her body. She had an appointment with her doctor two days later and her doctor said they looked like bed bug bites. She notified Chimney Hill Inn and communicated with Terrry, one of the owners. She said she would have an exterminator look at the room but she never got back to us. While waiting for her to reply, I started to get the same type of bites my wife had. We notified our apartment complex that we may have gotten bed bugs and they along with the exterminator that we were required to hire and pay for!! said the bumps looked exactly like bed bug bites. I called Chimney Hill Inn, twice and finally got a call back from the guy who makes breakfast for the guest. He said that he checked under the bed for the bed bugs but found none. Wow, that was their exterminator?? The same guy who is the cook. I asked that they please have an licensed exterminator check the room for future guests sakes. (I don't want anyone to go through what we had to) and send me the report. He said, he would call me back. It has been 5 days and no call. I am surely going to report them to the Health Department. Beware of these rooms. All in all it has cost us over $500 to hire an exterminator, wash and bag all our cloths and take time off of work to do so. Worst serice with no regards for their guests!!
