Circa 1832. This elegant, imposing Federal Greek Revival stands on two pastoral acres in this historic hamlet surrounded by a glorious valley. Built as a stagecoach stop, the inn is decorated in period antiques, available for purchase. The five guest bedrooms have antique beds, some with canopies. Guests are served a full country breakfast in the Hepplewhite dining room. The meal includes such items as omelettes, homemade breads, muffins and scones, bacon, sausage, toast and quiches. After breakfast, guests can enjoy the common rooms: the parlor, the Empire Reading Room or the sunroom with the natural flagstone floor and the view of Charlotte Valley. Or they may head out for the local attractions: Hanford Mills Museum, Fenimore Art Museum and the Baseball Hall of Fame.
