Romantic Interest
Start with working fireplaces, a quiet country location, breakfast in our sun room or hilltop gazebo, self-service teas and coffees, homebaked cookies and a luxury suite with two-person whirlpool. Add our recommendations for a romantic dinner in a mountain top restaurant, perhaps flowers or a fruit basket in the room when you arrive and you've got a perfect venue for anniversaries and special birthdays.
Historic Interest
The house dates back to 1811 and was built for General John Nevers, the local militia commander and first sheriff of Franklin County. The house was Calvin Stearns' first commission and he and his brother went on to give Northfield's Main Street its characteristic look.
