more than expected

Review of Cedar Grove Plantation, 617 Kingston Road Natchez. This b/b was one out of fifteen b/bs we stayed at while self-driving in USA during our 5-week vacation. It was the only plantion we stayed at and it was well worth the experience and only 15 kilometers from the town of Natchez. Our stay here was only 2 nights (5 nights would have been better)so the owners gave us as much information as practical and gave us heaps of support in re-establishing our vacation as it went pear-shaped the first day. The plantation was bigger than I surmised from the web and even better when they took us for and extensive tour of the entire estate. The tour of the home was a big big highlight. Our room was some 20 meters from the house and consisted of a bathroom and a very spacious and well-presented bedroom. A pleasure to stay in. Just outside the room was a large swimming pool (absolutely ideal for kids). There was some play equipment but a bit of a distance away. The cooked breakfast was true to its word (unlike some b/bs we stayed at)& most enjoyable and fulfilling. Even though we had a 10 hour drive that day we still couldn't part from the breakfast room until 9:30 that morning. Lyda and Charles are a great couple and well worth meeting and sharing there b/b accomodation. If any further information is needed, please contact me at email btsheppard72@hotmail.com
