“Wonderful cookbook!”
Cynthia R7/1/2011
I’m thrilled with the cookbook!! We had a few friends over to celebrate the 4th and I decided to make a berry pie, since berries are in season right now. I’d never made one before so had to find a recipe, and first looked through your cookbook. I was thrilled that it did indeed have a berry pie recipe, was even happier that it was such a simple recipe – berries are so easy to prep, no peeling needed. It was by far the ABSOLUTE BEST PIE I’ve ever made, our friends are still raving about it! Thanks so much – I can’t wait to try more recipes. Bob requested the peach soup, that will make a nice, refreshing supper one night this week.

“Lovely and Comfortable”
Ginny D6/1/2011
Thank you. We enjoyed our stay with you. The back porch was very comfortable and a nice place to sit and read. The bedroom was comfortable, thank you for having a power strip in the room, with so many electronic things to charge it was great not to have to hunt around for a few plug.
If we hear of anyone heading in your direction, we will certainly recommend staying with you. Your home is lovely and comfortable, not cluttered or with uncomfortable “period” pieces.

“The Gift of Hospitality”
Charlotte D5/1/2011
We had a lovely time in Asheville and our stay with you will have a special place in our hearts & memories. The rooms
are charming and the breakfasts are wonderful. Our every need was anticipated and met...we loved the cocktail hour..that is very special.
I know running a B & B is hard work, especially the way you and James do it, but you both made it look effortless. You have the gift of hospitality and we felt at home from the first moment. When we return to Asheville we plan to spend it back on Cumberland Ave. and will recommend you all to anyone we know is traveling your way.

“Impossibly High Standard!”
Julie and Stan B4/1/2011
We certainly enjoyed our stay @ your terrific Inn. We felt very comfortable, indeed, pampered. You have created a very comfortable atmosphere for your guests to meet, mingle and converse. We felt very welcome and appreciated all the good info James provided. I haven't even gotten to the breakfasts yet! They were fabulous and have set an impossibly high standard, now that we are home.
Thank you for taking care of us so well; we look forward to coming again to Asheville and Carolina B & B.

“Couldn't ask for anythying more”
Sal and Julia B10/1/2011
Thank you so much! The stay was absolutely fantastic. We couldn't have asked for anything more, and it is evident that you both take great care in providing an exceptional experience. The room was a real treat (loved the fireplace!), but what really set your B&B apart from others was the fantastic breakfast and bedtime treats, and the advice and suggestions for things to do around town. Made for a perfect weekend.
Gracias from Mexico City,

“Perfect”
Eliisabeth H10/1/2011
We think back on our stay in Asheville with pleasure. It was a perfect way to make a stop, our only regret was that we had only two nights there. We would have loved to stay longer. It is a perfect home away from home , although the breakfasts were definitely better than home!

“Great Southern Hospitality”
Milan and Dean A6/1/2011
Your inn was so warm and welcoming as were you. James' knowledge about the area and restaurants was spot on. And of course Susan's fabulous breakfast were something to look forward to! Not to mention the little sweet goodies at night.
