Circa 1760. Sprawled across ten landscaped and wooded acres in the Hudson Valley at the base of Mohonk Mountain, this bed and breakfast sits alongside a trout steam and two waterfalls. Relax in a hammock or on one of the decks. Go fishing in the stream. Accommodations in the historic 1760 Stone House and renovated 1810 Carriage House include an eclectic mix of primitive and country antiques. Stay in a guest bedroom with a balcony and a whirlpool tub. Sleep on a canopy or four-poster bed in front of a wood-burning fireplace. The Solarium features a TV, VCR and phone. A guest refrigerator and hot beverages are provided in the lobby. Wake up to a candlelit gourmet breakfast served on vintage china.

Amazing Waterfall Location

Captain Schoonmaker's Bed & Breakfast

Deborah S. (33 reviews)

This is a hidden treasure though many have discovered it's rushing stream location. The history is deep and it features original furnishings. Comfortable lounging areas and the best breakfast around. One couple had been there for several days and proclaimed every breakfast had been a treat. We loved the poached pears and Soufflé. This is a soul filling experience if you love good food and a nature rich location. (The best locations seem to have been claimed 200 years ago!)
