I adore B&Bs, but this one really stands out. Not only is this inn a beautiful historic home, but it is one of the most welcoming places I've ever been. Walk in the front door to be greeted by Leigh and Rob. A lovely, young, incredibly warm couple - they will gladly share their favorite spots in town, or direct you to the best quiet walks by the shore. A decanter of port sits by the fire in the living room, the whole inn smells of their amazing homemade breakfasts every morning, and each guest is lavished with fine soaps and lotions from Aveda. These are only a few of the endless perks and surprises you find at the Captain Fairfield. We're heading back to try it out every season!
