Historic Interest
Built in 1841 by Peter Adriance, a Dutch silversmith. His family was prominent in Dutchess County and the Adriance library in Poughkeepsie was built by his brother. Peter Adriance owned the Buckeye Manufacturing company in Poughkeepsie that produced farming equipment.
