Romantic Wedding Setting

My husband and I stayed at the inn on our wedding night. I was even allowed to dress and have some beautiful pictures taken at the inn, prior to the wedding. We have returned for a couple romantic get away weekends, including a murder mystery dinner. The rooms are exceptional, clean and breakfast is always quite delicious.

WOW

What a fantastic place! The rooms are all decorated so beautifully. They each have their own unique personality. Perhaps the cleanest room we've ever stayed. The owners said it was built 15 years ago but you would never know it was that long ago. Most comfortable bed we've ever slept in. Quiet relaxing. Just perfect. We were given a choice for breakfast, and it was prepared well with really fresh ingredients. Delicious. The owners and staff were wonderful. Helpful but not in your face like some inn owners. John we are missing your Aronia Berry jelly. We'll be back soon!

Owners Grumpy!

Arriving on Friday for our 3 year anniversary weekend, we were not greeted with "Welcome, nice to meet you, nor Hello, Welcome to our B&B". We didn't receive a warm welcome at all. What we did receive was a "briefing" that the a/c-heat was turned totally off and to open the windows if we were hot, asked if we have any food allergies, told & pointed to where our room was located (not walked up and showed to our room) and lastly how did we want to pay? The owner was very cold and we felt like we were intruding in their home. Breakfast was good and but small for the $210 a night charge. The B&B was clean and comfortable but if you are looking to feel welcomed don't bother.

Management Response
Dear Guest, I am extremely sorry your stay was not fantastic. It was a terribly busy weekend for us. Wine weekend is always hectic. I am not making an excuse, but trying to explain what was happening. We don't normally turn our fireplaces on until October 1st as that is the time we turn the air conditioners off. We can't have them running simultaneously. So we turned off the ac's as the predicted lows were in the 40's, and all of our windows are able to be opened. We couldn't decide if we wanted to turn on the heat or turn on the fireplaces. We opted for the fireplaces. Unfortunately some of the fireplaces refused to cooperate. When you arrived I had just been informed of the uncooperative fireplaces and I was a bit distracted and perplexed and you did not receive my usual warm welcome. I am not able to show people to their rooms as I have bad knees and doctors orders not to climb the stairs. I do not usually tell people this. I never ask anyone how they want to pay when they check in. A lot of people, when they check in think payment is due and go for their credit cards. I always tell them payment is not due till check out time. Your wife went into her purse and I told her that payment wasn't due until check out. She said we want to pay cash and I said you still don't have to pay until you check out. She said she would rather pay at that time. If she had not reached into her purse payment would not have been brought up at all. I apologize that you did not feel breakfast was adequate. We really try to do our best. Sincerely, Jo Ryan

A very nice getaway spot I had my honeymoon at and every anniversary since. Very good hospitality and a great country atmosphere.

Spent three quiet days here. Very romantic and comfortable. Beautiful decor. So clean. All adding to our comfort. Enjoyed hiking and coming back to our cozy room. We turned on the fireplace and soaked in the huge jacuzzi. Dinner and breakfast were marvelous. Love the honor bar as well.
