Bridgewaters

Circa 1903. Located a block and a half from the Mississippi River, this inn features gardens and a massive wraparound veranda, often the site for weddings and reunions. Originally built by a lumber executive, the house boasts beautiful woodwork including polished parquet floors. Guest chambers are named after various Mississippi River bridges. The Lafayette Room has a whirlpool tub, fireplace and an antique bed. On weekends, a full breakfast is served by candlelight and may include wild rice sausage and a hot entree.
