Describe Garden and Grounds

Boreas has spectacular beach-side gardens and many window boxes and planters. The front courtyard is a perennial gardener's paradise and the rock gardens by the dunes are gorgeously colored from April through October. The Garden Suite has a private deck and garden which is eye-candy in the summertime. All rooms can view the gardens and the ocean is viewable from four of the five guest suites.

The Dunes Suite

A hypoallergenic feather comforter tops a sumptuous king bed that offers views of Boreas Inn’s private grounds. Relax in front of the electric fireplace or in the sky-lit private bath that features a jetted tub and large massaging shower head. French doors open to a deck just steps from the hot tub. Beyond is a five-minute walk to the Pacific coast’s most endearing beach, where more than 20 miles of silver sand stretches to the horizon. Bright with windows and skylights, this spacious guestroom is well appointed in shades of cream and sage green and features a stunning hand-painted mural of nearby North Head Lighthouse, the cliffs of Cape Disappointment State Park and the beach's rolling dunes. Look forward to our unique, multi-course morning breakfast, included in your room cost.

An antique desk provides a thoughtful space to write postcards, poetry or prose. Secluded and subdued, the Garden Suite is a favorite among guests seeking a relaxing respite. French doors open to a private deck with ocean views in the side garden, just fifty steps from our dunes trail and the beautiful Boreas gazebo. The Pacifica

So named because of its sweeping westward ocean view, the Pacifica is airy, inspiring and whimsical. A hypoallergenic queen bed sits beneath a vaulted ceiling and a large Bali fan that adds a touch of the exotic to the guestroom. An antique desk stirs creativity. The blue and creamy white decor highlights and flows with the natural beauty just out the window – glimpse coastal sunsets and legendary Pacific Northwest storms or watch the early morning fog banks roll off the ocean before burning off beneath the sun. Named “The Best Place to Kiss in the Northwest”, the Pacifica couples romance and relaxation with a 50-inch wall-mounted electric fireplace opposite the bed, a private bath with a luxurious shower head and the peaceful sounds of the Pacific Ocean in the near distance. The bedroom’s silky linens, softly draped windows and peaceful creamy and white tones nurture a gentle ambiance. Stay warm by the electric fireplace as you listen to the sounds of the nearby ocean. Windows look to the south and west and reach toward the room’s ceiling, where a wrought-iron ceiling fan that matches the headboard keeps you cool in the summer. Enjoy a private sky-lit bath. Watch for kites, eagles and deer during the day before stargazing at night. The room is perfect for famous Long Beach Peninsula sunsets and storms.

The Hideaway

We call this the “Innkeeper’s Choice”. The attic-style, east-facing bedroom is as comfortable and cozy as it is imaginative and fanciful. Glimpse the Willapa Hills and eastern garden from the room’s unique rounded window. Unwind next to the electric fireplace or beneath the king-size bed’s luxurious feather comforter. Lovely colors, glass-block accents and antique adornments encourage a private, quiet ambiance. An extra day bed allows for comfortable reading and can accommodate a guest. The Yett Beach House

Step back in time while keeping creature comforts close. The Yett Beach House is a 125-year-old Victorian-style sea cottage that’s equipped with WIFI and child- and pet-friendly. Full of old-fashioned charm, The Yett Beach House is managed by and sits adjacent to Boreas Bed & Breakfast Inn. It’s perfect for families and small groups. A lawn with a white picket fence surrounds this historic, picturesque cottage that boasts three bedrooms, two of which feature queen beds and one with a full bed. All beds are topped with hypoallergenic feather comforters. Enjoy a fully equipped kitchen and full-sized sofa-sleeper in the living room. The single bathroom features an old-fashioned bear-claw tub with a large dumping shower head. Ocean views from the grounds and front rooms. A five-minute walk on a private path leads to the paved 8.5-mile Discovery Trail, the rolling dunes and the expansive 28-mile stretch of beach. The cottage is not part of the B&B, so it has no access to the hot tub or breakfast. Free WIFI and parking. Sleeps up to six. No smoking.

Reservation/Cancellation Policies:

Minimum Stay Requirements

Two-night weekend minimum, longer minimums apply on certain holidays and festival times. The Yett Beach House vacation rental has a 45-day cancellation policy and has a 2 night minimum at all times and a one week minimum from mid-June to mid-September, unless there is a gap in the schedule.

Children Restrictions

Only older children, above age 12 are considered. Guests on honeymoons and celebrating anniversaries often have no time away from their own children and need adult play time, so we are thoughtful about how children impact the atmosphere at Boreas Inn.

Treat You Like Long Lost Friends

My wife and I were looking for a romantic place to share our Valentines Weekend together, and we certainly found it thanks to Susie and Bill at Boreas. Our room was very clean and gave us a nice warm cozy feeling. We had a view of the ocean along with our own private bathroom. The bed was extremely comfortable (not too hard not too soft). Coffee was available around the clock, along with brownies and candy for a midnight snack. Our visit was very peaceful and we socialized with the other guests around the fireplace. They asked if they could help us with dinner reservations and offered the best choices that met our tastes. Boy are we glad we went with Susies Recommendations! My wifes favorite food is Dungeness crab. Susie was able to get us into the last 2 openings for a Dungeness crab cooking demonstration (and tasting) at the same restaurant where we celebrated Valentines Day. The demonstration used 8 lbs of picked crab meat. We shared a nice quiet romantic time in their enclosed hot tub after our tasty Valentines Dinner. The breakfasts that Bill prepared were so delicious that we overate. Susie overheard us talking of needing someplace to go and walk it off. She told us the best places in the area to visit in order to get the best views of the various lighthouses in the area along with the waves crashing against the jetty. Susie and Bill treated us like long lost friends, and we could not have asked for a more personalized visit. We hope to return to Boreas during the warmer summer months, when we can spend more time enjoying their warm and cozy atmosphere.

Best Valentine's Weekend

My wife and I have stayed at Boreas twice now, both times on Valentine's weekend. Susie and Bill are outstanding hosts, making you feel welcomed and comfortable. The breakfasts are truly outstanding. Susie will make your dinner arrangements in advance at the best local resturants. The rooms are very nicely decorated and peaceful. The Inn's common area is perfect for reading and relaxing. I would recommend Boreas as one of the best places to stay on the Washington coast.

Truly Romantic

I was looking for a place for my husband and I to spend our 30th wedding anniversary. I was just browsing the internet and found the Boreas Bed & Breakfast Inn. I cannot even begin to say what a wonderful, relaxing and pampered weekend we had. Susie and Bill rate more than 5 Stars. They went above and beyond to make sure we lacked for nothing, making dinner reservation's for us, suggesting things to do and making us feel right at home and Bill's cooking is tremendous with the wonderful dishes he prepares for breakfast. We cannot wait to return.

Most Romantic B&B

I stumbled across the Boreas Inn Bed & Breakfast on-line last summer when I was looking for an August get-away. I drove up from Portland to Long Beach without high expectations. Much to my delight and surprise, I found the most romantic, cozy, comfortable little Inn on the NW coast. With beautiful views, amazing beaches, the best breakfasts I've ever had (!), charming, gracious and knowledgeable innkeepers Susie & Bill, plus comfy clean rooms filled with fresh flowers from the garden, fluffy down quilts and pillows plus a nightly chocolate treat each night, the Boreas Bed & Breakfast was simply magical. I returned in October with my husband for a wonderful weekend foraging for mushrooms and we've already booked a room for next August during the Long Beach Kite Festival. I'd highly recommend Boreas to anyone looking for a great, romantic vacation.

romantic getaway

Boreas is our favorite getaway. We go each year for our anniversary. Susie and Bill are the most wonderful hosts and they take care of everything--dinner, massages, shopping, and marvelous conversation. They also have the best breakfast with the freshest ingredients. We travel all over the world and Boreas is still our favorite!

A Fantastic Dream Romantic Get-away

Boreas Bed & Breakfast has been a dream vacation for us for a number of years. It is quiet with the best dinning (breakfasts at the Inn are the highlight of the day)around at the Port Bistro. The other guests are frequently people we have met on previous trips making the experience like a family reunion. We can never spend enough time at the Inn. Five Star all the way! Larry & Donna

No Place Like Home

Indeed there is no place like home. But, when life becomes to much I know there is a special place I can go and be at peace, relax to recharge my "self". And be with friends who are always there. Of course always, to hone my kiting skills. This I have done for over ten years. This was the first place I came back to shortly returning from the war in iraq. The homemade breakfast things, feather beds, wondering walks on the beach. And always uber amounts of wind to fill my kite sails! What more could this G.I. need. Many Thanks to Bill & Susie (really love you) Mary B
