Circa 1914. Originally known as the 1914 Poe Johnson home, this historic waterfront bed and breakfast is located on the Gulf Coast?s Pine Island. Restored to offer a relaxed pace, it especially caters to fisherfolk. Deepwater fishing is accessible from the private dock and boat ramp. Tackle, rods and equipment can be requested. The Knot Room is filled with fishing resources, memorabilia and a library. Enjoy twilight-time refreshments by the fireplace in the living room. The screened-in second-story porch features sweeping views of Charlotte Harbor and Gasparilla Island. Guest bedrooms are all named for local islands in the Pine Island Sound. An expanded tropical breakfast is sure to please. Golf carts, kayaks, and bikes are available to explore the area. A wine cellar and cigar humidor add to the amenities.

We just completed our 2nd stay (and won't be our last). From Cynthia's impeccable breakfasts to the evening hor d'oeves w/ wine, everything is perfect, and it's close to home.
