“The Best B&B we have ever stayed in”

This place is first class all the way. We stayed in the corner room and it was fantastic. With the high ceilings, beautiful crown molding, large windows, exquisite furnishings, heated floor and heated towel rack in the bathroom, large walk in shower with gorgeous tile, comfortable bed, this place is not your average bed and breakfast. And what a bubbly and gracious host Mia is. She is truly delightful. Look no further, this is THE PLACE!!!

“Better than anyplace!”

This was our second visit and even better than the first. First, the place is gorgeous and the hosts are friendly and very accommodating. Some of the best parts are the beds, the radiant floor heat in the bathroom, and the towel warmers. Every detail has been thought of. We have now stayed here in the Fall and in the winter. Hopefully, we will be back for Spring! Thanks to Mia and Andre for creating such a beautiful place. Patsy and Kim

“Spectacular Host, Spectacular House!”

I'm grateful that I've traveled all over the world--and literally have stayed in hundreds of hotels and bed & breakfasts. I was SO DELIGHTED with my stay at the Boardman House, I just had to write a review!!!! Of all the places that I have stayed, the Boardman House, by far, was one of the most welcoming and special places I've ever been to! Not only are the rooms gorgeous (loved the heated bathroom floors!) but also the host, Mia, is so gracious and thoughtful, it is like you are staying at a dear friends home, where her #1 goal is to make sure you are happy and delighted! The breakfasts: delicious, the decor: magnificent, and the host: spectacular. What a winning combination that made my travels a wonderful memory. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Boardman House!

“Exceeded all expectations!”

The Garden Room was the perfect spot for us to celebrate our anniversary! We had a private entrance with a lovely porch and view of the back yard/garden. The entire house is immaculate and beautifully decorated. Bed was soft and cozy, yet firm enough to please us both. We slept so well we overslept! We felt spoiled by the heat light in the bathroom and the heated towel rack. We were bowled over by the warmth and charm of the house and Mia our hostess! We felt like old friends returning to visit on our first trip. One stay at Boardman House will make you long to return soon.

“Swedish charm in Connecticut”

Thiis remarkable B&B is owned by Mia and Andre, a Swedish expatriate couple with a passion for restoring antiques - houses as well as furniture. They have restored this 19th century mansion with remarkable taste, equipping it with all modern amenities, yet retaining its charm. They have furnished it with meticulously restored antique furniture, primarily from Scandinavia. The place is immaculate. The owners are charming and eager to please. If anyone is anywhere near this bucolic part of Connecticut, they should treat themselves to a stay at Boardman House. Coupled with a show in the nearly adjacent Goodspeed Opera House, one has the makings of a memorable trip.
