Wonderfully Romantic Kentucky Home

The "love of my life" found this wonderful home while we house shopped in Georgetown and Lexington. It was perfectly romantic with snow on the ground, horses frolicking in fields in the back, and a beautiful suite of 3 rooms with fireplace. Our host was a true southern gentleman. If you are considering a bed and breakfast in Kentucky, this is the one.

Romantic Anniversary Stay

My wife and I very much appreciated the hospitality and warm welcome we received from Proprietor Jim Black. The "My Old Kentucky Home" room is wonderfully furnished and thoughtfully decorated. The grounds of Blackridge Hall provided a beautiful setting for an evening walk with horses grazing in adjacent fields and a good view of the autumn sunset. Blackridge Hall is a beautiful home with interesting historical and antique pieces. Breakfast was home cooked and delicious! We will certainly be back. Thanks again Jim for making our 8th anniversary special! Kyle & Theresa Mickelwait Paris, KY

Horse Vacation

Me & my daughter had a fabulous time in KY, visiting all the Horse places we could find and Mr. Black suggested!! We loved our 'Bluegrass Kentucky' room, home away from home! We were treated like two princess's and throughly enjoyed ourselves..! Mr. Black and his wife were so nice and friendly and help out a bunch with directions, making appointments for us and suggestions of activities we wouldn't want to miss out on! Hopefully we can go back very soon...and have another 'Horse Vacation'!!

Midway to North Carolina

My husband and I decided to spend the night mid-way from Michigan to North Carolina and landed at the WONDERFUL Blackridge Hall B&B. We were so pleased with the accommodations. Proprietor Jim Black and his wife were so friendly, kind, and really showed us what southern hospitality is all about. Jim opened his home with such grace and shared so much history with us. Our stay was so relaxing and it was wonderful to have such a clean and welcoming environment. The food was exceptional too. Would highly recommend!

A Bourbon Trail overnight destinati

After a long day traveling the Bourbon Trail, the swinging wrought iron gates opened at Blackridge Hall to reveal white columns supporting a capitol on the front of a beautiful Kentucky home destination. The landscape tree lights twinkled and innkeepers Jim and Sung were at the front door to welcome us to their inn. Entering the front door was a beautiful staircase, ornate dining rooms and sitting rooms to either side of the entrance also made for an elegent first impression. This is an eye-appealing spacious residence that our party of six found enjoyable during our brief one night stay. I'm sure an impressive sunset would have been ours had we arrived prior to 7:30 PM I particularly was pleased the next morning to sit on a expansive indoor screen/glass patio overlooking a country setting with morning sun that included rolling hills and trees of uninterrupted views of horse country. Also there were 8-10 horses directly behind the property which made for a very enjoyable opportunity to relax and take in horse country. We enjoyed breakfast, but rushed on our way to get back to day two of the Bourbon Trail. I would recommend this destination to enjoy fall colors and Keeneland race activities. It is about 15-20 minutes from Keeneland. Frank Bodwell, guest
