The Most Romantic B&B

My husband and I will never forget our romantic week at the Black Bear Inn. Kevin and Jerry are the ultimate innkeepers; their inn is delightful in every way. After our first breakfast, I began taking my camera to the table to capture the delicious food, one of many dear memories of our stay. The Snowshoe Cabin is perfect for honeymooners. We have told all of our friends to make time for Black Bear Inn!

Romantic Honeymoon and More!!

We love the Black Bear and spent our first night there as a married couple. We love the cozy rooms and cabins, the perfect landscaping and garden, the other guests are so much fun to talk to, the staff is calming along with the setting, and we never want to leave.

A Romantic Retreat

My husband and I spent a romantic weekend at The Blackbear Inn. We enjoyed wine and cheese at 5:00 and were very impressed with the Inkeepers not only recommending places for dinner, but offering to make the reservations for us. The room was beautiful with a huge bathroom and shower. Breakfast each morning was delicious. We will definately return again and give this beautiful Inn our recommendation.

Most Romantic Inn

My wife and I were married in an intimate ceremony by Jerry at the Inn last year while Kevin took photos. We had the most picture-perfect, wonderful and romantic wedding we could have imagined. The hospitality was first rate and the gourmet breakfasts were to die for. Jerry & Kevin helped make our special day a memorable one. The Sutter room was amazing. We didn't want to leave! Recipe For Romance

We were married by Jerry last Dec. 27th in an intimate private ceremony in front of the massive fireplace in the main lodge while Kevin took the photos. The Snowshoe Thompson Cabin-whirlpool tub for two, champagne by the three sided fireplace, comfortable elegance-a memorable setting for a honeymoon. Delicous, unique breakfasts, wine and cheese in the late afternoon, personalized attention, all while being surrounded by luxurious yet homey beauty. We were so impressed, we stayed on in the Seneca Room. What more could one ask for. Can't wait till we are able to return. Thank you Jerry & Kevin. Rob & Mary Wilson, Sonora, California

Romantic, Overall Accommodating

From the time you make reservations to the check in at the front desk, the staff makes you feel very welcome and lets you know everything they can do to make your stay comfortable. We were married here and were accommodated in every way possible for our particular wishes regarding a meaningful and small ceremony. We will be returning for anniversaries annually and are looking forward very much to our stays in the future.

Romatic Getaway

This is the ultimate in romantic getaways! You will be pampered from the beginning of your stay through to the end. The evening hors doevres are a wonderful way to get to know the other guests and the breakfasts in the morning are simply delicious! The grounds are so well kept it looks like someone vacuumed the grass. The rooms are cozy and comfy. Jerry & Kevin are the perfect innkeepers!

Most Romantic Weekend

My husband and I recently stayed in the "honeymoon cabin", and while we weren't actually on our honeymoon, it was a close reinactment! What a fabulous retreat. The innkeepers are wonderful and the food was fantastic. We hope to stay in the same cabin on our next visit!

Romantic Inn

Black Bear Inn is the most romantic bed and breakfast my husband and I have ever stayed in. It's the only place we stay in Lake Tahoe. Black Bear is a wonderful respite from work and everyday life, where you can rewind, relax and rekindle your romance. We love to enjoy a glass of wine in our robes next to the fire, while the snow blows around outside the window. It feels like a honeymoon all over again. We stay in the Snowshoe cabin because it is private and we love the Jacuzzi tub for two. If you go, be sure to have your breakfast delivered.

Haven for romantics

The Black Bear Inn defines a romantic stay in the south of Lake Tahoe. It is a wonderfully quiet place where the owners' excellent taste has made it very comfortable. The Great Room and the guest rooms and cabins are neatly furnished and decorated with a touch of nostalgia. The grounds are lush, unless they are blanketed by snow, but when this happens, the Black Bear Inn's charm puts wonder in winter wonderland. The breakfasts are something to write home about, too. My latest visit was far too short, for this is a place to cherish, a place that easily calms the fevered brow and makes time move a bit slower.
