Experience exquisite sunsets from the lounge, where a fireplace adds to the already warm ambiance. Tastefully decorated guest bedrooms and suites feature country quilts. Select a room with a flowering balcony, Vermont stove or fireplace. Relax in one of the hot tubs, or swim in the heated outdoor pool. Each season provides an assortment of activities and gorgeous scenery. In winter, Black Bear serves as the area's only slope-side ski-in/ski-out inn for Alpine and cross-country skiing. Brian O'Neill, our chef, creates new and memorable menus in our restaurant each day.

We had only intended on a 1 night stay, but enjoyed ourselves so much that we had to stay another night. We were served the best lamb ever for dinner, and all other meals were comparatively enjoyable. We will definitely be back with some friends soon!

“Warm Winter's Retreat!”

It was an awesome experience to sit in our private hot tub upon the mountain top during the snow storm while sipping on wine and then relaxing in our cozy room in front of the warm fire-stove. The next day, the owners were always on site and ready to help with any information. This inn is truly a Vermont getaway that should not be missed!
