Description

Circa 1745. The Black Bass Hotel is located on the River Road north of New Hope. In its early days, the innkeepers were of Tory persuasion and attracted a Loyalist clientele. Today, the hotel is noted for its excellent cuisine. Electrified oil and tin lamps and railroader's lanterns are displayed, along with a collection of British Royal Family memorabilia. Guest rooms are furnished with 18th and 19th-century antiques. Some rooms have private balconies overlooking the Delaware River.

Wedding 05MAY12

A huge thank you to Mara, Billy and the entire team at the Black Bass Hotel. My husband and I were married 05MAY12, and Mara was exceptional as she helped guide us and in answering all of our questions (even last minute modifications). Thank you so very much for making our wedding such a beautiful day!

Romantic luxury

Stayed at the Hotel weekend of 5/19-20/12 for my son's wedding. Accommodations, food, atmosphere, entire experience indescribable. Staff very attentive and accommodating. Service impeccable. Highly recommended for a romantic getaway. Most definitely would come again.

February getaway

My husband and I spent two nights in late February 2012. It was extremely relaxing and the food was wonderful. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed our balcony since the weather was unusually warm for February. Upon our departure we discovered the museums in Doylestown. Highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing rejuvenating retreat.

Wonderful stay

My husband and I had a lovely stay at the Black Bass. The room was beautiful, had a picturesque view of the Delaware, and the dinner was top rate. We had our wedding reception here a number of years ago (prior to the Thompson Group acquiring it) and the changes and upgrades to the hotel subsequently have been so noticeably better. It appears that everything has been renovated but the renovations have not impeded the elegant and rustic charm of the hotel. It is the perfect romantic destination. We stayed this past weekend and when we came home, we booked another reservation. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Wonderful Romantic Stay

Just a note to tell you how enjoyable our anniversary celebration was at the Black Bass Inn. We enjoyed an excellent dinner and our accomodations were fabulous. We will be back soon! Everything was enjoyable from the Champagne to the lobster dinner to the wonderful room and the service was excellent. Well done! Bravo!
