Wonderful!

I stayed there with my boyfriend last January and it was so great. We had a fireplace in our room and Billi was so accomodating! It was the perfect weekend getaway, so romantic and comfortable. I stayed there again in March for my Moms 60th Birthday with my family and we reserved the Roosevelt suite. Billi had some rooms open that weekend so my brother, myself and my parents all had our own rooms. The breakfast is incredible and I can't wait to go back again! Thanks for making each visit such a great memory! Lindsey Keppler

Fantastic!

We have just returned from a wonderful 3 night stay at the Bischwind. It is a beautiful place and Billi was the perfect host. The Roosevelt Suite is just perfect and my only regret is that we couldn't stay for longer!!!

Perfect Anniversary Getaway

We had a wonderful one night stay at the Bischwind and I wish we could have stayed for many more nights! Our room was beautiful (master's room) and Billi went out of her way to set up a table for 2 for breakfast for us in front of the fire. The food was delicious and the whole inn is gorgeous. We also enjoyed walking around the beautiful lake and took a day trip the next day to bushkill falls (only an hour away)... I can't wait to go back!

Just Perfect

BISCHWIND has to be one of the most beautiful and relaxing spots in the Poconos- it just takes your breath away. We stayed in the Roosevelt room it was well decorated to say the least, large and spotless. But what really set this place apart is Billi D English and her family, they are some of the friendliest, hospitable people I’hv met Perfect location, yummy breakfasts. Thoroughly recommend, can't wait to go back!

Elegance with a Personal Touch

Billi English was the best B & B hostess ever. The reservation process was smooth and contacts about arrival times were easy. Our rooms were perfect, with attention to the smallest detail. Billi even changed our accommodations at the last minute to better meet the special needs of our party and make everyone as comfortable as possible. The breakfast was both delicious and beautifully presented. We can't wait to go back and enjoy Bischwind's personal touches again. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer!

The Roosevelt Room

When we first walked in to the Theodore Roosevelt Room a couple of years ago, we thought we had accidentally wandered into an academic setting; a doctor's library or the sitting room at some exclusive club in Philadelphia or New York. The site of over-stuffed leather chairs, and soaring bookshelves with literary classics and dental textbooks, and windows that seemed to reach up to the sky was rather breathtaking. All we needed was a scotch and a cigar (well, maybe just the scotch). On a rainy, gloomy day, we felt we could lose ourselves in the big chairs, read books, nap, and explore the house. We walked around the corner to the bedroom and were dazzled by the cozy, romantic feel. The bed is a twin of the one in the Lincoln Bedroom in the White House, which only adds to the allure. We liked it so much we came back two years later in the fall; lit a fire, snuggled up and enjoyed.

Romantic, Lovely B&B

Bischwind is everyone's ideal of a beautiful and charming country manor home. We stay there once a year to visit family in the area and have never been disappointed. The rooms are all unique and very comfortable, and the property is especially beautiful around the holidays when the fireplaces are roaring and the house is decorated to the hilt! We attended a wedding there during the summer and the setting, as well as the food and arrangements, were ideal. We are always warmly greeted by the friendly but unobtrusive hosts, Ralph, Billi, and Barbara. You have plenty of privacy, the breakfasts are amazing, and the area is lovely. This is the place if you're looking for a unique, romantic weekend.

Stunning

You won't be disappointed. You will be relaxed the moment you walk in the front door. The breakfast was very filling and wonderful. They made you feel as if you were at your own home. Everything was perfect!

Delightful in Everyway

We had the most enjoyable time at the Bishwind B&B. Our nights were chilly but quickly warmed up with the fireplace, we nestled ourselves in the Bears Den & read the intriguing history of the Tudor Style house. Billi herself was quite the delight, extremely polite, respectful, helpful and warm. The icing on the cake for us was her INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS French Toast accompanied with all the fix-ins'! The B&B was absolutely stunning, we found ourselves just simply wondering the hallways, exploring the home & experiencing all it has to offer. We can only hope that MANY others will have the chance to experience such an inviting experience/stay. Believe you me, we've told everyone and anyone about our stay last year. GREAT NEWS to add, we are coming back this weekend! THANKS AGAIN and much Love. Jesse & Nicole Orange County NY

simply the best bed and breakfast

My stay could not have been any better. Upon arrival, we saw the house from the road and were amazed how beautiful the grounds were. The house was built in the 1800s and had some charming features inside. The host, Billi, was very accommodating in all aspects. She gave us a tour of the house and grounds. There was a very nice built in pool in the rear yard that overlooked the Pocono Hills. There also was a large field that bordered the Lake at the bottom of the hill. At night we took walks around the property as well as enjoyed the pool. The rooms were all very neat and each had a different theme; ours was the Bear's Den and featured windows almost on every wall, as well as a fire place and whirlpool tub. Each morning Billi would cook us a four course breakfast which was very delicious. If she offers to make her special omelet make sure you get it! The cake and fruit were also very good. On our first night we were the only couple there and Billi offered us to try any room we would like but opted to stay with our additional room so we would not have to move our stuff around; the house is very large! Seems like it would be a great place to host a small wedding. Billi also recommended some great local restaurants that we ate dinner each night; each was better than the last! When it came to planning out the day, we would ask Billi what was in the area. Being outdoor people, she recommended some great hikes and natural parks in the area. We also went kayaking on a lake. If you are a gambler, Mohegan Sun is just down the road and I would much rather stay here then at thier hotel. Our vacation truly could not have been any better and we will be back!

A lovely night!

We stayed at the Bischwind for a one-night anniversary getaway. Our room was absolutely wonderful-cozy, quiet, and beautifully decorated. We had a delicious meal at the local Powerhouse, and a great breakfast in the morning. The walk around the lake was very nice. We would highly recommend the Bischwind, and will definitely be back again!
