About Our Rooms
The Painted Lady
The Painted Lady is a classic Victorian, built in 1882. Each of the nine comfortable and charming rooms is individually furnished and feature hand-painted furniture, antiques, beautiful Oriental carpets, Laura Ashley-esque textiles and lots of whimsy. All feature private bath and gas fireplaces, balconies, skylights and whirlpool bath tubs. Down comforters with decorator duvets, distinctive window treatments, artwork and objects d' art round out the decor.
The Abbey
The Abbey is an architectural and aesthetic tour de force. The grand fireplace is the focal point of the main dining room. The Bistro Bar's wine "cellar" is the one-time confessional. Six guest chambers feature vaulted ceilings with skylights, King or Queen beds, balconies, gas fireplaces, two-person ultra massage whirlpool bathtubs, climate control, television and telephones and wireless internet. Several rooms feature dramatic and magnificent circular stained glass windows depicting archangels and other Biblical motifs. Each bedroom has fanciful bed linens, wall treatments, custom-made draperies, antiques and quality reproductions and indulgent mattresses.
Village Inn
The unassuming Village Inn's global roofline provides a heady contrast to the stone facade of its neighboring Abbey and a stark contrast to its older sibling, the Painted Lady's layered exterior. There is a multi-use studio behind the Village Inn which is available for small groups, training sessions, art and other classes and smaller lectures. The first floor, fireplace common rooms are elegantly furnished and promote conversation and respite. The guest rooms do not have televisions. Guests are provided cell phones for local use.

The Inne, one of Sandwich Village's highlights, is comprised of an erstwhile church, The Abbey and its former manse, Painted Lady - two elegant architectural masterpieces. Sumptuous decor, imaginative architectural interiors and outstanding service have established the Inne as a landmark in Cape Cod hospitality. The Village Inn at Sandwich is a seven-room bed-and-breakfast in the heart of Sandwich village on Cape Cod. Built circa 1860, it is a charming Federal style building that has been completely renovated and is in pristine condition. A covered porch extends across the front and around the side. The porch is lined with rocking chairs and flower boxes. The grounds are beautifully planted with perennial gardens and flowering trees. A separate building is available for art workshops, yoga classes and other special events.
