Colonial Gables Oceanfront Village

Situated on ten acres overlooking Penobscot Bay in the Belfast area of Coastal Maine, Colonial Gables Oceanfront Village offers a relaxing getaway. Stay in a guest bedroom with waterfront views or a one- or two-bedroom cottage with a seaside porch. Most cottages also feature fully equipped kitchenettes. The beach is sandy and perfect for swimming or fun for fishing and boating. Play shuffleboard, ping pong, volleyball or horseshoes and in the evening sit by the campfire. Explore nearby Camden, Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Spend a day at the outlet stores of Freeport, visit a lighthouse or art museum and indulgently devour a fresh lobster roll.

The Jeweled Turret Inn

This grand Victorian is named for the staircase that winds up the turret, lighted by stained- and leaded-glass panels and jewel-like embellishments. It was built for attorney James Harriman. Dark pine beams adorn the ceiling of the den, and the fireplace is constructed of bark and rocks from every state in the Union. Elegant antiques furnish the guest rooms. Guests can relax in one of the inn's four parlors, which are furnished with period antiques, wallpapers, lace and boast fireplaces. Some rooms have a ceiling fan and whirlpool tub or fireplace. The verandas feature wicker and iron bistro sets and views of the historic district. The inn is within walking distance of the town and its shops, restaurants and the harbor.
