Circa 1880. The Wisconsin Dells area is full of both Scandinavian and Native American heritage, and the innkeepers of this country inn have tried to honor the traditions. The inn even features a Scandinavian gift shop. Chief Yellow Thunder, for whom this inn is named, often camped out on the grounds and surrounding area. The inn's restaurant is highly acclaimed. Everything is homemade, including the wheat the innkeepers grind for the morning pancakes and rolls. There is a good selection of Wisconsin beer and wine, as well. Guests can stay in the Farmhouse, Swedish Guest Hus, or Wee Hus, all of which offer microwaves and refrigerators.
