Description

Circa 1896. Guests will find this pleasant place for a getaway. There are 60 acres surrounding the main farmhouse, ensuring tranquility during one's stay. Tucked behind the century-old farmhouse are a bright red barn and grain elevators, adding to the rural setting. Although not a working farm, the property has chickens and horses. The comfortable home has been in the Rice family for three generations. There are three guest rooms, decorated in a homey country style. One room has a wilderness scene on the wall behind the white iron and brass bed. In another room, a swash of fabric, decorated with cream-colored tassels, is draped at the headboard of the bed, which rests on a backdrop of a tree. The third room offers two twin beds, a queen-size bed and a day bed, all dressed in coordinating fabrics. The homestay is close to Amish communities and the Elroy-Sparta Bicycle Trail.
