Circa 1847. Built as a summer estate, this Carpenter Gothic inn does feature nearly a dozen of its namesake gables. Accommodations include rooms in the main house, as well as the restored coach house that is ideal for families or couples traveling together. The innkeeper has lived in the house since the 1950s and has decorated the historic home with what she describes as “Jackie O”-era furnishings. The innkeeper has been opening her home to guests since the 1960s. The homemade breakfasts include entrees such as a soufflé or perhaps eggs Benedict.
