This historic hotel, in the National Register, is a downtown two-story brick building that once housed street-level shops with second-floor apartments for the tailors, shopkeepers and pharmacists who worked below. The upstairs, now guest rooms, is decorated with rich fabrics and wallpapers and fine antiques. The Anniversary Room has a mahogany bed, fireplace and double whirlpool tub. The Victorian-era dining room and pub, both with fireplaces, are on the lower level. The waterfront is three blocks away.
