Circa 1910. Original oak paneling, leaded and stained glass are among the architectural highlights at this smoke-free inn that graces the historic district near the Capitol Complex. Guest bedrooms feature thoughtful amenities including terry robes and hair dryers as well as technology for business needs. A full breakfast consisting of tea, juices, fruit, muffins, waffles, quiche, basil tomatoes and cottage fries, is served in the dining room. Dietary requirements can be met upon request.

Our elegant but cozy atmosphere accommodates business as well as leisure travelers and is excellent for allergy sensitive people. We use biodegradable cleansers and no air fresheners or perfumes. Our attentive, friendly staff prepares meals, sweets and hors d’ oeuvres items from scratch and meets dietary requirements. When possible, we purchase organic products. Our lawn and flowers are organically cultivated. All rooms are equally beautiful and exceptionally clean. Our comfortable mattresses, soft ironed sheets, quality linens and sound-proofed rooms allow for a good night’s sleep. We offer flexible check-ins. A fax/copier is available on the main floor. High speed wireless internet is available. Laundry and ironing services are available on premises. Dry cleaning pick-up and delivery is available. The inn is located in the historic district ½ block from the Capitol Complex. We are 1 mile from downtown and 2 miles from the Civic Center. The airport is within 5 minutes. South Charleston is 10-15 minutes. Kanawha City is within 10 minutes. The train station within 15 minutes; limited pickup and delivery service is available.
For the comfort and safety of all, we are smoke-free. We have well-lit, off street parking. Guests are given keys to an always locked front door and to their room so they are free to come and go as needed. Children are welcome as long as they are respectable to our environment and other guests.

The Victorian Rose
On the 2nd floor, this room has an elegant hand-carved Victorian high-back Queen bed. Rose fabric and lace surrounds an antique clawfoot tub with shower on a platform in the room. The desk in this room is an antique Victorian desk. Romantic favorite for weddings, anniversaries & birthdays.

The Bauer Room
On the 2nd floor, this room has a high-back walnut Victorian Queen bed. Named for the original builder and furnished in Ralph Lauren fabrics in sage green and cream. Bathroom is in room and has a Greek & Italian marble shower.

The West Virginia Room
On the 2nd floor with a four-poster Queen canopy bed and hard wood floor. Elegantly decorated in tiffany blue and cream fabrics. The private, separate bathroom is the original bathroom in the house and has the original Italian tile, cast iron tub and shower.

Grandmother's Room
On the 3rd floor, this room has two extra-long twin beds and is decorated in green, blue and white Laura Ashley fabrics. Features P. Buckley Moss collectible plates. The separate private bathroom has a tub and shower. Beds can combine to make a King. A cot can be added to sleep three people for additional $10.
