Circa 1896. Established in 1896, the Shelburne Inn is the oldest continuously operating hotel in Washington and is listed in the National Register. A beautiful wooden former church altar is the front desk of this historic hotel. The entire inn is thoughtfully appointed in antiques and fine furnishings. Art nouveau stained-glass windows were rescued from an 1800's church torn down in Morecambe, England, and now shed light and color in the dining room, pub and throughout many of the guest bedrooms. Each morning savor the renowned innkeeper's full gourmet breakfast. Just a 10-minute walk from the ocean, the inn graces Seaview on the Long Beach Peninsula, a 28-mile stretch of seacoast that includes bird sanctuaries, lighthouses, historic centers and national parks.
