Circa 1840. Rich with a local legacy, this historic landmark was built in 1840 and stands as a stately three-story Federalist red brick building in downtown Stanardsville, Virginia. Huge porches are accented with white colonnades. Surrounded by scenic beauty, Shenandoah National Park is just 10 minutes away. The Lafayette Inn features romantic, well-appointed guest bedrooms and suites with generous amenities to make each stay most comfortable. Dicey's Cottage, the original two-story slave quarters, provides spacious privacy, Jacuzzi tubs, gas fireplaces, a kitchenette and a deck. A country-style breakfast is served in the coffee and tea house, transformed daily from being the Tavern where lunch and dinner are available. There is much to see and experience in the area. The Victorian Suite
The circa 1900 Victorian ("Lafayette Too") is located across the street from the main building. This four-room suite has a warm living room with its own private gas fireplace and piped-in music system throughout the suite. Finally, enter into one of the only "bathroom suites" to find a professional massage table (massage one another or we can arrange for a local massage therapist to visit), shower for two, Jacuzzi and two private sinks.
