Description

Circa 1818. Gracing four picturesque acres in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, this historic property has retained its original integrity and remains true to its 19th century heritage. Surrounded by open farmland and boasting spectacular mountain vistas, stroll to the gazebo to enjoy 270-degree views. The inn is appointed with antiques and Tom Seely Furniture. The walls are adorned with artwork by Warren Kimble. Each of the accommodations includes a private bath and individually controlled heat and air conditioning. The two-room Tavern Keeper’s Suite features a living room and private entry onto a front porch. Stay in the secluded two-story Summer Kitchen Cottage, perfect for a romantic getaway or families with children. Breakfast features just-baked breads, coffee cakes or doughnuts, a fruit course and a main entrée such as pumpkin waffles or baked apple pancakes made from an authentic 1820s recipe.
