Description

Circa 1890. A small school opened on the property of the Methodist Church in Irvington, Virginia around 1890 with two front doors: one for girls and one for boys. This historic schoolhouse is now a highly acclaimed country inn with eclectic yet luxurious amenities and decor. The Hope and Glory Inn is perfect for a honeymoon, corporate retreat, family reunion or relaxing getaway. Stay in a romantic guest bedroom or lavish English cottage. After breakfast stroll through Victorian gardens and indulge in the private vintage outdoor shower with a clawfoot tub and sink. Quiet music plays softly throughout the inn and onto the grounds. The Meeting House offers a creative and high-tech environment for conferences. Explore the Chesapeake Bay area on a bike or cruise the coves of Carter's Creek aboard the Faded Glory and savor a crab feast.
