Description
Circa 1873. Built by the ironmaster of the Longdale Furnace Company, this Victorian is located in the historic district named for the firm. The home boasts many unusual original features, including a wraparound porch with a built-in gazebo and a view onto a walking wedding maze. There are more than 12 acres and a budding orchard to enjoy as well as views of the surrounding Shenandoah Valley and the Allegheny Mountains from all the rooms. Large guest bedrooms are elegantly appointed with ceiling fans and most have fireplaces. Civil War sites, museums, children's activities, shopping, lakes and state parks are in the area. Stay on-site and relax in a hammock under a 150-year-old tree with a good book and the sounds of a stream in the background.
Location: Country, Mountains, National Forest and property surrounded by pristine streams.
