Historic Interest |
The house was built in 1850 and was carefully restored to its original condition in 2003. Most of the windows have the original glass and shutters, floors are original wide-plank wood, fireplaces have been restored and fitted with gas logs and several original outbuildings still exist, including the slave quarters and the smokehouse. Historic Memberships: Local Historical Society. Historic sites nearby: Part of the Tappahannock Historic walking tour which includes about 20 original building dating back to the 1700s.
