Circa 1912. A local attorney built this 1912 Colonial Revival home on the site of the town's first schoolhouse. The Cape Charles House is the recipient of the Governor's Award for Virginia Bed and Breakfast Hospitality. Oriental rugs cover lovingly restored hardwood floors. The owners have skillfully combined antiques, heirlooms, artwork, fabrics and collections. Spacious guest bedrooms are named after historically significant townspeople. The premier Julia Wilkins Room features a whirlpool tub/shower and balcony.
