Description
Circa 1812. This gracious Federal-style stone house on the National Register is beautifully situated on 115 forever protected acres adjacent to Shenandoah National Park. It was built by a Revolutionary War officer, and his musket is displayed over a mantel. The house, a Virginia Historic Landmark, has been restored with the original Colonial color scheme retained. All rooms have working fireplaces, air conditioning and provide views of stone-fenced pastures and the Blue Ridge Mountains. The innkeeper is a retired international broadcaster.
