Description
Circa 1840. Overlooking Piankatank River in Hartfield, Virginia, this historic Federal mansion was originally owned by Abraham Lincoln's granddaughter and this 150-acre country estate still remains in the family today. Built in 1840 in the grand style of Early Republic architecture and recently completing a three-year restoration, Inn at Woodstock is accented by waterfront gardens and vintage trees in Middlesex County. Watch a DVD in the upstairs sitting room or gather for coffee and dessert in the parlor. Guest bedrooms are named after family members and feature Italian Carrera marble baths with a jetted shower, Jacuzzi or clawfoot tub. Breakfast and afternoon tea are served in the elegant dining room where 18th century Imari China adorns the wall over the brick fireplace and the table is set with monogrammed linens, crystal pieces and heirloom silver.
Location: Country, Waterfront, Chesapeake Bay, close to Deltaville and Urbanna.
