Description

Circa 1820. Experience the heritage of New England hospitality at this Greek Revival brick inn that is listed in the National Register. Built as a stagecoach stop and part of the Underground Railroad, historic details and lavish antiques combine with generous service in a splendid setting. Rockers on the front porch and a fire in the parlor or Sun Room provide comfortable relaxation. The Tavern Room, an English-style pub is ideal for working on puzzles with new friends and a cold drink. Authentically furnished guest bedrooms and suites feature canopy feather beds, fresh flowers, air conditioning or ceiling fans. Some boast clawfoot tubs, wood-burning fireplaces and balcony access. The country breakfasts are always a satisfying delight. Dinner service is available. Play horseshoes, badminton or croquet on the one and a half acres with flower gardens and a small fish pond.

Location: Country.
