Description
Circa 1826. For many years, this inn served as both a stagecoach stop and meeting house. In the 1880s, an Ohio millionaire used the home as his summer retreat. He added the Victorian touches that are still present, including the polished woodwork, stained glass and elegant fireplaces. Today, guests stay in restored rooms decorated in Victorian style. Stowe, Sugarbush, Mad River Glen and Bolton Valley ski areas are nearby, and guests can also partake in fishing, swimming and water sports at Winooski River, Waterbury Reservoir or Lake Champlain.
Location: Mountains and River - 1/4 mile.
