Historic Interest	Made famous by President Eisenhower's visit in 1955 during a fishing expedition, the Inn was originally the barn for the Long family's turnip farm in the 1870s. In the 1940s, William Barstow, an associate of Thomas Edison, purchased the farm as an overflow lodging option for guests. Throughout the ensuing years, improvements and additions to the original building were made, however still maintained the integrity of its Yankee origin and the beauty and ecology of its natural surroundings.
