Circa 1828. Two Federal-style homes comprise the Inn at Montpelier. Ten fireplaces, Greek Revival woodwork and glass-fronted china cupboards are original. A favorite guest room is number two with a lace-canopy bed. A block from the inn are restaurants, business districts and the 100-acre Hubbard Park. The inn holds a AAA three-diamond award.
