Description

Circa 1830. Thomas Edison was a regular guest here when the house was the country home of William Barstow. The inn is surrounded by the Green Mountains on three sides with a stream flowing a few yards away. The guest rooms feature antiques and Vermont country decor. Most rooms offer Jacuzzis and some boast fireplaces. Guests enjoy both breakfast and dinner at the inn. Buttermilk pancakes topped with Vermont maple syrup are typical breakfast fare, and dinners include such items as medallions of pork topped with an orange-apricot sauce and white chocolate cheesecake.

Fox Creek Inn is all about relaxing and enjoying the environment. We don't have television or telephones in your room, nothing to disturb your peace and tranquility. We have a wonderful little pub with an excellent array of beers, spirits and wines where you can meet your fellow travelers or just sit quietly with a single malt before dinner. Room 1

Decorated in blue and white with a burgundy rug, this quiet room is on the second floor on the backside of the inn. There is a Queen-size bed and the bathroom has a combination Jacuzzi bathtub/shower.

Decorated in blue and white, this room has a large bay window looking out over the front of the inn and the babbling brook. There is a Queen-size bed and the lavender bathroom, one of the original bathrooms in the inn, has a bathtub/shower combination.

A large, second floor room facing the front of the property and the brook. The room has a Queen-size, four poster antique bed and a fireplace. The bathroom has a combination Jacuzzi bathtub/shower and an antique pedestal sink.

This large room on the second floor is painted hunter green and has windows on three sides. There is a King-size bed and a fireplace. The bathroom is quite large, with a Jacuzzi bathtub, separate shower and a marble vanity with two sinks.

A delightful two room suite; each room with a private bathroom. The Queen sofa bed enables this to be used for a family traveling together or the sitting room with its sofa and fireplace make the suite a special room for two

This twin-bedded room on the ground floor is decorated in blue green and white with floral designed wall stenciling. The large bathroom has a sunken Jacuzzi bathtub and a separate shower.
