Description
Circa 1832. Set on a hill graced with tall black locust trees is this recently restored three-gabled farmhouse. The home once presided over a 200-acre dairy farm and looks out to the Green Mountain range and Camel's Hump. Guest rooms offer inviting beds with duvets, down comforters, and piles of pillows. Bathrobes, thick towels and hand-made soaps are among the amenities. Wooden rocking chairs line the porch and situated in scenic spots are gatherings of Vermont-made country furniture. A hammock swings between two locust trees. Afternoon appetizers and drinks are served, and in the morning a three-course candlelight breakfast might offer items such as freshly baked maple muffins, poached pear served with Ben & Jerry's sorbet and Vermont summer vegetable quiche with maple-cured sausage.

Cancellation: Cancellation Policy ~ Effective January 2007. If you cancel a guaranteed reservation more than 14 days prior (30 days for a reservation during Fall foliage or holiday weekends) to scheduled arrival, your deposit will be credited to another visit within 6 months, or deposit will be refunded less a $50 per room processing fee. If you cancel 14 days (30 days for a reservation during Fall foliage or holiday weekends ) or less from the arrival date, you will be charged the full amount of your expected stay, plus tax, unless the room can be re-booked for the entire reserved period in which case a refund will be made less a $50 processing fee per room. If you arrive after the date expected or depart before the final date of the guaranteed reservation, you will be charged the full amount of your expected stay. All Birds Nest Inn packages are nonrefundable. Smoking: Smoke Free Property.
