Description
Circa 1870. This two-story sandstone brick Victorian is in Red Rock Country, which is known for its beautiful panoramas. Innkeeper Kim's beautiful garden has a fountain and is lit by torches at night. She grows both flowers and herbs. The inn is decorated with period Victorian pieces and is full of music and candlelight at night. It has five guest bedrooms including one suite and one cottage. Innkeeper David Boger has 20 years in food management at country clubs and fine restaurants and has catered for international organizations and dignitaries including President George Bush. He cooks with fresh herbs from Kim's garden. Breakfasts include such gourmet fare as crab quiche, homemade blueberry muffins, banana bread, coffee cakes and fresh seasonal berries with the inn's secret Grand Marnier sauce. Other culinary requests, from picnic lunches to candlelight dinners, can be accommodated upon request. The inn is near Arches and Canyonlands National Park and not far from the town of Moab. Guests may enjoy antiquing, shopping touring museums and visiting wineries. Or they may go bicycling, canoeing, fishing, golfing, hiking or horseback riding. David and Kim suggest that guests get up early at least one morning during their stay, and sit on the front porch with a cup of coffee, tea or juice and soak in the magnificent Southern Utah sunrise.
