Description
This prairie-style inn features 10-foot ceilings, narrow-board oak floors, a hand-carved mantelpiece, gumwood paneling and detailed molding. The home was built by oilman, developer and philanthropist N.H. Martin. After the discovery of oil on the family ranch in nearby Jolly, Martin and his partner went on to build the Country Club Estates. They donated the land on which Hardin Junior College (now Midwestern State University) was built. The inn also caters to special occasions and as many as 200 guests can be accommodated for a stand-up buffet.
Location: City/Urban.
