Built entirely of native cypress, this remodeled Victorian Plantation sits among imposing, shady oak trees on three acres in the center of one of the state's largest National Historic Districts. Relax on double gallery porches with swings and rockers. The romantic ambiance is accented by eight coal-burning fireplaces, Baccarat and Waterford crystal chandeliers and a grand piano once owned by concert pianist Lawrence Meredith. Luxurious guest bedrooms feature down comforters, triple-sheeted linens, terry cloth robes, and individually controlled heat and air for personal comfort. The Honeymoon Anniversary Room boasts an antique footed tub, CD player and a private balcony. The formal dining rooms complement the gourmet fare served with southern hospitality for breakfast. The restaurant also serves lunch and candlelight dinners by reservation.
