The eight guest rooms are tucked into a mountain chalet-style home with cathedral ceilings and natural wood interior. The home is located on what was a wagon trail in the late 19th century. The decor is comfortable and there's a huge brick fireplace to enjoy. Each guest room has its own theme, including Western and European themes with antiques. Most rooms have a fireplace, deck and whirlpool or hot tubs. The innkeepers also offer a housekeeping cabin south of Pactola Lake. The home is about 40 miles from Mt. Rushmore and the Crazy Horse Monument. A gold mine, the Passion Play, Spearfish Canyon and other attractions are nearby. Deadwood, a historic national landmark, is 7 miles away.
