Description
Circa 1917. The Keyserling family built this Neoclassical Revival-style home, which was later used by the local board of education as housing for single, female teachers. The home has been completely refurbished, a difficult task, considering the home had been the victim of two fires. The U.S. Department of the Interior noted the renovation with a Historic Building Certification in 1996. Guest rooms boast bay views, and each has its own theme. A gourmet breakfast and "Tea and Toddy Hour" are included in the rates.
This property has been featured in Beaufort Gazette, Sandlapper, BBC 2 Travel Show December 19, 1996. Location: City/Urban, Country, Waterfront and Pristine beach in State Park.
